Where We Come From
Trueish may be new. Our world isn't

Trueish has grown out of decades spent in and around the entertainment industry.
The people, experience and relationships surrounding Trueish span film, television, music, writing, performance, talent representation, artist management, marketing, live entertainment, sponsorship and creative development.
Some of those relationships have existed for decades. Some are newer. Some are creative, some commercial and some simply come from years spent working in the same world.
Together, they give Trueish something that can't be created overnight:
experience, perspective and relationships across different sides of entertainment.
That experience includes artist management, record labels, major releases, emerging talent, promotion, marketing, touring, nightlife and live entertainment, alongside work connected with some of the most recognisable artists and entertainment brands in the world.
It has meant working with talent at very different stages of their careers, from people trying to get their first break to internationally established artists.
It has also meant seeing what happens behind the publicity.
The negotiations. The positioning. The relationships. The difficult decisions. The ideas that work and the ones that don't.
That experience matters.
Music, Artists and Entertainment
Film, Television and Story
The creative experience around Trueish reaches directly into television, film, screenwriting, performance and original development.
It includes writers and creatives whose work has been recognised through organisations and initiatives including BAFTA Rocliffe, BBC Writersroom, Channel 4, the David Nobbs Memorial Trust and Female Pilot Club.
There is experience developing television concepts, comedy, drama, documentaries, short films and independent productions, as well as practical experience of performance and production itself.
That means looking at a project from more than one direction.
On the page.
On the screen.
In the room.
And in front of an audience.
Talent & Representation
Around Trueish is decades of experience in artist management, talent representation and television and media management.
That includes experience within established UK talent and artist-management businesses, representing and working alongside actors, presenters, musicians, personalities and established entertainment talent.
It brings an understanding of another important part of development:
people.
Who might respond to an idea.
Who could help move it forward.
How talent fits a project.
How relationships are built.
And how an introduction is very different from an unsolicited email.

Comercial Instinct & Decades of Relationships

Creative development doesn't exist in a vacuum.
The experience surrounding Trueish also includes marketing, brand building, sponsorship, PR, events, audience development and commercial entertainment.
That means asking questions that sometimes sit outside the screenplay.
Who is this for?
How do we position it?
What makes somebody stop and pay attention?
Can we communicate the idea in thirty seconds as well as thirty pages?
Where does it sit in the market?
And ultimately:
Why this project?
Perhaps the most valuable part of that history isn't a credit, an award or a famous name.
It's the relationships built along the way.
Across music, television, film, talent, management, production and entertainment are relationships that stretch back decades.
Trueish isn't interested in turning those relationships into a wall of celebrity names.
They're more useful than that.
They provide perspective, advice, introductions, experience and access to people who understand different parts of the industry when a project genuinely warrants it.
Not every project needs the same people around it.
Knowing who might matter - and when - is part of development too.
